Mary Kirk (RAW #1230)

I came to know Papa Pilgrim primarily through my efforts to 
help organize the RAW99 Conference & Showcase held in San 
Jose, CA. In the year that it took me to organize and plan 
for the conference, along with RAW members Kym Hansen and 
Leigh Crutchfield, Papa Pilgrim personally kept me going 
with support and great guidance. I was always thankful for 
his many emails as Kym and Leigh and I navigated some new 
waters. In many ways I doubt that I would have been able to 
do what I did for the conference, many mornings until 3 AM, 
without his emails of encouragement. I didn't actually get 
to meet him until the weekend of the conference when he flew 
in. At that time, I found his personal manners to be as 
gracious as all of his writings. He was a true and humble 
soul who bestowed goodness and kindness.
