From Yoruba Singers It is with shock and deep regret I opened your email today 13th October 2003 and learned of the death of Papa! Its difficult for me to reply directly to this news but this I can say; I have never met him personally but I always regarded him as a Father Figure one who is very caring. I will always remember how excited he was about the new Membership from Guyana which happen to be my group the Yoruba Singers Band, it was as if we were his Children encouraging, giving advice and wishing the best for us. It took us 4 years to do another Reggae Album and we were awaiting his review so it is good to know that he was still excited about the group and we are glad at least he got the chance to hear the Album, moreso that he had liked it. We will always remember him and will strive to be ambassadors always. On behalf of the Yoruba singers Band we would like to send our deep condolances to any surviving relative and the family of Raw on his passing; we know he will be greatly missed, but his time on earth was well spent. He has left a legacy that is rich and will benifit many more to come though he is not around. Yours truly Ms Charmaine Blackman YORUBA SINGERS BAND =====================
