The newsletter project continued unchanged through 2002. There was a setback which occurred as a result of my back injury. I was able to catch up by releasing one edition that covered the 3 months period I was ill. We send the hard-copy newsletter to just about every state in the US and internationally to Jamaica, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Spain, Ireland, Haiti, Malta, South Africa, England, Germany, Poland, France, Australia, Ghana, Belize, Finland, Turkey, Greece, and The Netherlands. We are able to use bulk mailing to send the newsletter within the US, but there is no bulk mailing for international posts. The hardcopy newsletter uses a large portion of our funds therefore the board has decided to reduce the mailings from 12 times a year to 8 times a year. My job consists of taking the online "Wha Gwaans", formatting and editing them into a hardcopy newsletter. The newsletter is printed then sorted per bulk mail requirements for the US and weighed and metered for international mailing. As offline communications coordinator I also respond to all membership inquiries. Each inquiry receives RAW info, an application and the most recent newsletter. I receive phone calls regarding RAW information and from members who need assistance. I also address membership needs via snail-mail, mostly from the international offline posse.
