This is a post going to all InI regarding the outernational elder relief works going on now. This is a brief over view and UPDATE on the runnings at hand. The post is as follows : 1# The roots of the project 2# The short term goals 3# The progress 4# Long term goals 5# Other needs 6# Funds raising ideas 7# contact 1# The roots of the project are real simple. Mother Empress Farika Birhan put a call out to INI asking for INI, the Rastafari family to confront the issue of the condition of InI elders . she informed InI of the need for medical attention and nutritional help as well as housing ,and living expenses . Up on I ditation , I man started an outernational outreach via internet /phone,and through I culture shop in I area. After speaking with Mother Farika it was determined it would be good for her to trod to JA . and assess the situation first hand take a written report and start relief. 2# SHORT TERM GOALS: The short term goals are first and fore most to provide urgent medical care to those in need. This will be done as follows .Short term International funds raising efforts to facilitate the project , due date Oct 25 . The expenses are as follows :Plane ticket , travel expenses, report expenses, doctor , expenses, relief expenses. Sis will locate and hire a doctor skilled in conventional /medicine and get care started to those most in need .she will reason on setting up an account with the doctors, also dentists so ones can come in with out worrying about payment. she will identify the needs of each of the elders and take a written report and return home to formulate a long term plan. 3# THE PROGRESS: INI in Iman area have raised funds for and purchased the ticket at 355$ on sale. local idren n sistren have projects underway, and donations just started coming in with one arriving from New Zealand! response and verbal comitments are at about 25 ones so far. MANY MORE NEEDED .$3 LONG TERM GOALS no less than the aged of rastafari protected! InI will purchace land , build housing , hire a full time cook n nutritionalist , and a doctor/herbalist to make regular visits. INI will make a place of dignity for INI elders to be in there FIRST days.A place built n run by HIM Jah Rastafari n HIM children. another aspect is hiring or finding volunteers to "make rounds to check on those in remote areas. 5# OTHER NEEDS: Ital/Vegetarian , Vegan Medicines such as liquid iron , liquid calcium , herbal tinctures , herbal soaps , tooth paste (fluoride free) herbal oils , herbs for pain, bulk herbs, ital cancer remedies such as essiac tea, shitake, mitake extracts, can x salve, shark cartilage, ALL herbal treatments, HEALTH ,HERBS, HOLISTIC MEDICINE BOOKS , NUTRITION , VEGAN HEALTH books etc. 6# FUNDS RAISING IDEAS: I know a lot of INI is poor but remember this is a grass roots, family effort. There"s something every one can do to be a part of the works. Some ideas are : Reggae shows (collect from INI , get on stage n ask if possible) I raised 170 at a show by carrying a box and reasoning with ones about the works. Radio shows , culture shops and clubs can be sources of help,a benefit party or performance , with ital food for sell, have an ital bake sale , make a burned CD for sale , make a copy of as picture of HIM and trade for donation, raffles, and much more . Just fire reasoning with the idren has brought forth some good money! the date is soon , OCTOBER 25 all donations must be in! so forward ! #7 MAIL IN INFO: To forward the money or for more info link I at CONQUERING LION CULTURE CENTER 761 8th street unit c , Arcata ca, 95521 MAKE MONEY ORDER TO MICHAEL WILMETH or to contact INI its roots @humboldt1.com or # 707-826 - 7800 (the shop )or 707 -444- 3775 (hm), to reach MOTHER FARIKA it's farikab@hotmail.com or queenomegacommunications@yahoo.com an she'll get back to you. Faie and I just wanted to let you know that we're forwarding the reggae vibe here in the Middle East. In fact, we've been talking about wanting to help forward the vibe a bit further. What do you think about a Middle East reggae festival right here in Kuwait. We were wondering if maybe you might know of promoters who do that sort of thing. We know that some of the major hotels arrange for overseas bands to perform. For example, top bands from L.A. perform in clubs in five star hotels in Muscat, Oman. Perhaps Faie and I, possessed with a passion for reggae music, could help assist here in Kuwait. Maybe such a festival could be a kind of opening night to a series of gigs in hotels all over the Middle East. All bands could come together for a "Reggae on the Desert" or "Reggae on the Gulf" concert here in Kuwait and then they could go on to play at various hotels around the region, Dubai, Muscat, Manama, Cairo, Beirut, etc. Maybe you could help put someone in touch with us who does this sort of thing. We would be excited to work with this person and do all we could to help. Anyway, it's just a thought that we wanted to share with you. The Middle East sorely needs reggae music. What do you think?
