PLEASE! Date: Friday, August 01, 2003 5:28 AM From: "Tom Pearson" Greetings all! In recent days I have seen a marked increase of submissions for our newsletter "Wha Gwaan in RAW?" that do NOT follow the guidelines suggested, and which have been announced many times. I will REPEAT! Wha Gwaan in RAW? is a strictly TEXT-BASED newsletter. Since we must send out to members of varying computer capabilities, it is necessary to restrict submissions to TEXT ONLY. That means no graphics, color, sound, bells or whistles. No attachments! Anything sent with the above-mentioned extras will be returned to the sender, and WILL NOT BE INCLUDED in WGIR Also, today I received at least four messages submitted in HTML format. Now I realize how cool such announcements can be, but unfortunately, none of those extras (i.e. bolding, italics, underlining, etc) will show up in WGIR, and before I can send a message to Eric for inclusion in WGIR, I have to go through and delete all those commands. That means deleting every
,  , , etc. This is a very time consuming task, and one which I am simply no longer able to do. I have NO idea how messages are sent in HTML, I just know we can't receive them. If you are sending a message in HTML, I will, from this moment forward, return it to you, and ask you to re-send the message in basic no-frills text. So the basic rule for WGIR submissions is: TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT TEXT and NOTHING ELSE! Thanks Tom #33 [2]------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------- >From Tom (#33) Subject: Yoruba Singers- "Consciousness 2" Track Titled Reggae Ambassador Just got the following CD in today from Yoruba Singers (#1164) outta Guyana, South America. It's called "Consciousness 2", and I've been eagerly awaiting it's arrival since I heard there was a track called "Reggae Ambassador" What a great song! Here are the lyrics (trying to type as I listen) I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member, yes, of Reggae Ambassadors I live in Guyana, in South America And I heard our music has been playing down in Africa Halfway around the world, on the island of Guam, Our music made the charts for the Reggae station So let's give praise and thanks to Jah For the great things He has done Through the medium of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member, yes, of Reggae Ambassadors It has been many years of blood, sweat and tears We've been going 'round in circles trying to find our way Then one day in a magazine RAW was revealed >From that time we came in things have never been the same So let's give praise and thanks to Jah For the great things He has done Through the medium of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors For the membership all across the world Thanks for the support For the founding leaders Thanks for the vision For all the Committed Reggae Fans and Artists Veejays and Deejays, Distributors and Producers And those involved in Management Keep the faith So let's give praise and thanks to Jah For the great things He has done And the medium of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member of Reggae Ambassadors I'm proud to be a member I must admit that this song brought tears to my eyes.... 'Worldwide Reggae Ambassador" by Runksie (#753) outta Bermuda, which was sung nightly, and greatly appreciated by the massive in attendance, at this year's RAW Conference in Boston, is another song livicated to RAW. To have such an effect on members is an incredible thing, and I must admit to being a bit speechless.... I give thanks from the bottom of my heart for both artists and their creativity, and encourage all RAW members to show their support by contacting both artists to see how they can obtain copies of these tunes and the CDs they are on. #753 Vibe Tribe Productions Runksie (Philando Hill) PO Box 268 Flatts Hill Smiths Parish FL04 BERMUDA vibetribe@northrock.bm eisknur@hotmail.com http://www.vibetriberecords.com #1164 Yoruba Singers Ms. Charmaine C.
