Mikey also reasons about the livity of rastafari and of 'The Woman as God Head'. He also discusses his work with the Jamaican National Children's Home. "Everything in nature shows us the duality. The bible says 'God made man in his image and likeness. Male and female made he.' So I think that the female is the image and likeness of god, just like the man. Personally, I would say the woman has a place in the god head. And therefore, I try to sing songs that will help women realize their divinity." - Mikey General This interview may also be accessed from our interviews page at http://www.ireggae.com/iviews.html which includes dozens of real audio interviews of reggae artists, including: Bunny Wailer, Benjamin Zephaniah, Luciano, Mikey General, Bushman, Midnite, Abijah, Everton Blender, Sister Carol, Burning Spear, Peter Broggs, Ijahman Levi, Pablo Moses, Iley Dread, Chrisinti, Anthony B, Tony Rebel, Daweh Congo, Wailing Souls, Queen Omega and Warrior King. We at CanJa Sounds would like to extend our best wishes to everyone during this holiday season. We thought we should let everyone know what has been going one before we break for the holidays, so we'll keep it brief..... It has been a busy and interesting year for us as we experienced creative growth and gained more recognition within the reggae community... Kevin "Spyda" Brown (aka "Spyda" KB) is wrapping up Detour Posse's Dakeye solo project. Expect Dakeye's first single, "Please Deliver Me" B/W "Calling on Jah to drop in a few weeks. More info will be made available regarding release date and where to received promotional and retail copies.... "Spyda" KB has established a working relationship with another Jamaican label. He just completed riddim tracks for Wall Street Records. One featured riddim is called Flamenco, which is based around a grooving spanish guitar and a rolling bassline. Initial tracks recorded at CanJa Sounds were "Jamaican High Grade" from Dillgin & Gatlin and "Call Me" from C.X. (aka Caribbean Xchange) The riddim is currently being voiced, by some ot Jamaica's hottest dancehall's acts, in Kingson, Jamaica. The early word is the riddim is getting mad love from those who had an opportunity to hear it. Stay tuned for more info regarding this project.... Well that's it!!!! Have fun and be safe...!!!
