These mini chapters will work locally and regionally letting each other know about, and help promote, reggae events and artists in our area. Also to spread the word about RAW and to bring some new folks on board. The different regional RAW chapters can have mini conferences, and at some point, report to a national and international board, what we have accomplished in our own corner of the globe. One thing i mentioned at the conference is getting a free website (anglefire, homestead, yahoo, msn)and putting up all your local info. This includes bands, concerts, dances, clubs/venues, promoters, radio shows, etc.. My example is at: http://go.to/NYreggae there is also the following: bostonreggae.com phillyreggae.com chicagoreggae.com www.midwestreggae.com and others I have created a yahoo group(its free and simple to do at: http://groups.yahoo.com/start) for the North Eastern United States as a mini RAW Chapter, i will probably make one for NY state as well. If you live in the North East pls join the group and let's get going on our collective work. Even if you don't live near here, you are welcome to join and at least stop by and see what it looks like to make one for your region of the world. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RAWnorthEastUSA/ One love and keep forwardin the Reggae Vibe! Keeping it Real and Roots! Quote from Solarfest: "From St. John, Virgin Islands, this legendary reggae band's motto is "Love one another now." This group has it all: style, class, a magnetic stage presence and the energizing music to match. The harmonic skills of this group goes far beyond words and music; theirs is a unique kind of ethereal communication both with each other and the audience. Get ready to boogie, get ready to funk, get ready to rock so and rock so, but mostly get ready for some hard-core conscious, eye-opening lyrics to go with that groove!" - I could not have said it better than this - Inner Visions! ONE month and 1 week underway, and I feel good about the New show, "RAW Reggae-I-Vibez" that I do every Friday afternoon from 12 - 2 PM at WCCR/CCTV Cablenetwork system, in Cambridge. It's a new begining, and a positive one for me, along side my future plans for a my own cableshow, coming soon around the first of the year. I especially want to thank the following Artists from RAW, who have submitted their CD's for Air play, as well as the Artists and DJ's that attended the KRucial Reggae Fest & RAW Conference in Boston/Cambridge, Massachusetts, who enriched me with even greater vision and drive. As they had noticed, when they were here, I was unable to get around too well, as I had just had surgery on my left ankle, (a 1-year & 7-month injury), that has slowed me down, but certainly hasn't stopped me from my dreams and visions. I was blessed at the event with lots of talent and advice, plus good ole fashion "Sharing", as we like to call it, with comrads in the radio and music world, of which I am deeply moved and thankful for. I video taped everything regarding the events and conference to be presented in my "Angel's Musical Point of view" series to be aired at CCTV in Cambridge sometime in the fall. I am truelly thankful for the particiapation that was brought forth, and the interviews ta! ken with out a lot of graff. I had a lot of fun, in spite of my non-mobility. Memories to hold dear for a very long time. I made great relationships with ZEMA and other sistren who were there, which I will hold close to my heart as well. Big up to Marcquis Melody, and the Burmuda Possi, as well as to Sean and Tom-Tom. One Love to all the Radio DJ's that I met, and of course all the Boston, Cambridge, and Massachusetts Crew. I also want to thank the RAW conference ficiltators who traveled so far to make this happen, and also to Kyle Russell, who helped me alot, and allowed me to expand my wings during this event. No I didn't forget the R.I., N.Y., and Cali People, nor the people form down south, and other states that traveled all the way to my home town of Cambridge for this spectacular event. Nuff respect to you All of you. Now for all the Artists who have been sending in their music, Respect and Praises to you for suppling me with your much relished Reggae vibez. As a messenger of the Air waves, it's my duty to the musicans, singers, and players of the music world, to play their music, to spread that vibe of conciousness. I am selective of the quality and content of what is played and aired. So work hard to produce the best vibe you can, and speak and sing the concousness of truth, one love, unity, and peace. Some times it comes in the form of political & radical vibez, and thats ok too. As long as the message is for the benefit of all human kind (as it should be), and for the revelation and ears of the youths of today and the future, especially in these end times we live in. I am not the judge, but be aware, that there is a judge and jury, that one day will make you accountable for what messege you spread, so be concious! Live the Truth you speak and sing! Know who and what you are, when you spread this vibe!
