The tour starts in Fayetteville on November 17 at Chester's Place on Dickson Street. It's a smoke free show and the doors are open at 9pm. This is the only Midwest date planned. After the Fayetteville show, the group is scheduled to perform on the West Coast in Seattle, Portland, Eugene, San Francisco, and Santa Cruz. Mikey General, the headliner, has just released his second outstanding album this year -- "Red, Green, and Gold" on the VP Records label, produced by the great Dean Fraser. Earlier this year, he released "Exalt Jah" in cooperation with Stone Tiger (www.stonetiger.net) on Qabalah First Music, a production company formed in 1998 by Mikey General and Luciano, another shining star of reggae music. The two artists toured extensively in the summer of 2003 to excited audiences throughout the US with outstanding reviews as a result. Mikey General's journal from this successful tour entitled "Life on the Road" is available at www.stonetiger.net as are photos, MP3s and more from this beloved and spiritual singer. The talented and inspiring singer, Joseph, and the Lions of Israel band have also been spending some time on the road. They toured parts of the Midwest and East coast with Jamacain singer Abijah in September 2003. Joseph electrified crowds with his fiery dancehall lyrics and spiritually sweet songs. The Lions of Israel are currently putting the finishing touches on their long awaited debut CD "Calling on JAH SoulJAH's" to be released on the Majestic Productions label. The Mikey General and Lions of Israel Fall Tour will showcase some of reggae music's finest musicians and singers including members of the Jah Messenjah Band, Rochelle from the Far East singers, who wowed audiences this summer as she opened for Luciano and Mikey General, and Erica, known for her many years with Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, as both women accompany Mikey General and Joseph. Majestic Productions is excited about bringing this inspirational tour to you and for more information regarding the current dates or to add your venue to the tour, please contact Joseph at lionsofisrael@hotmail.com or 479-841-2068. You can also visit the group's website at www.lionsofisrael.com. And for more information regarding Mikey General or to arrange interviews with him, please contact Stone Tiger at info@stonetiger.net or 305-412-4604. Well I must let you know that because of the positive vibe given to our New Reggae Album Consciousness 2, by you and other DJs around the world, we have made steps to share this good news with the public here in Guyana. Our Radio Station in Guyana 98.1FM has made your Label Report a poster on the Studio's wall; Prince Thierry of Radio Mega 99.2FM, France sent me his live Playlist on a CD and our DJs here have played our Song "Tirbute to Bob Marley" from that CD with his voice anouncing it! Then we have had reviews read on our Radio from Ted Boothroyd-RAW1705 a Radio DJ out of Canada who said "I love what you have done with Equal Rights and Justice; I think I like it better than the Tosh Original" and Julius of Radio-TV Africana who gave us a free website and whose comments were "However as an individual, I fell in love with "Raise your hands for Jah". A list of the best songs I've ever heard in my life would not be complete without it" and Big John Palmer #1023 of KSJV Fresno CA who said "I enjoyed it thoroughly. Indeed very spiritual!" As a result I have had three calls for information on Reggae Ambassador Worldwide which I am happy to share. One has already joined the network; he is John "Slingshot Drepaul of Miami, Florida who is a Guyanese Indian Calypsonian living in Miami :) and the other two are two Reggae Groups here in Guyana who I have a meeting with on friday to diverse information on RAW (hope they do join). I would be happy if you can send me some application forms. Thank you.
