May 29 Date: Sun, 30 May 2004 13:48:28 EDT From: MOJAMAICA@aol.com In the Words of DJ Everton - Caribbean Show, KNON 89.3 Irie FM Dallas "OH YES AND THIS IS HOW WE DO IT! REGGAE." To kick start the concert: The emcee of the night was none other but our own, the True African child, The Code Red man - Tunde Obazee - of KNON 89.3 FM, Empowerment Radio. www.knon.org. With great honor, Tunde took the stage and gave Andrew Tosh an honorable welcome on bended knee. Andrew Tosh has proven that the limb does not fall far from the tree, in true Tosh style, Andrew Tosh took control of the stage at the Caribbean Grill in Dallas last night and gave us a 2 hour -- enchanting Tosh show. It did not take much to entice the crowd into a sing-a-long. He song many of his Dad's, "Peter Tosh" greatest hits, such as Downpressor Man, Legalize it (Andrew style), African, Equal Rights, Magar Dog and so on, but the most endearing part of Andrew's performance was when he song his newest hit "He Never Died," that song so moved me and the crowd, proves the words, who feels it knows it. Andrew's words chronicles the death of Peter. The song goes as such, "He did not die in South Africa, He did not die in America, He did not Die in Spain, where he did Die the home of his birth." The words so true, touched the most essence inside our hearts, bringing tears to our eyes, with such respect and conviction Andrew song this song "He Never Died" it is deservingly the most fitting Tribute to my hero, Jamaica's number one Freedom Fighter and his father Peter Tosh, a tribute that only a SON could do and Andrew did it well. Andrew performed that song with a deep sense of heart, that we all felt his vibes, people went away from the concert giving praises to the son of the man who sing "I am that I am" Andrew Tosh "is who he is" Peter Tosh's undisputed, HEIR apparent. Andrew is proving to the world that in fact his father "Never Died" he LIVES in the works of his number 1 son! Andrew Tosh you do your father proud and we give Thanks to you for coming to Dallas, Texas (on an impromptu concert) and giving us more of that Jamaican Rasta magic! Rewind: The evening was full of magic, Andrew came with his Reggae Posse in the form of the Reggae Angels! Based out of California. It doesn't take much for me to toot the horn of Fenton and his crew. Fenton is ever so dear to my heart, being not only the most real Rasta with a keen since of reason. He CAN SING! Man, Fenton is definitely my number 1 Reggae Angel, he has "Balance" and dedication, I never grow tired of listening to him sing. I researched in my brain to try and figure out just who does Fenton remind me of.... I come to the conclusion.. No one.... He is also one who can definitely stand on his own accords. He has, what is always needed first and foremost in Reggae, "The Love of JAH." And Fenton sings "Where is the Love" I say to Fenton, the Love is with you guys, The Reggae Angels! You were JAH sent! I have not seen such humble ones as the Reggae Angels since "Inner Visions"! It shows that The Reggae Angels, has not been contaminated by the entertainment scene, they are definitely keeping it real and doing the work of JAH. To see them is to Love them. Check out Reggae Angels. As always, Fenton and the Reggae Angels crew, we in Dallas, Texas, The Caribbean Grill and The KNON 89.3 Irie FM Reggae DJ Posse, give to you our hearts! www.reggaeangels.com Mushiya Co-Host with Ima Uwagbai, KNON 89.3 Irie FM Dallas, the African Forum JAH blessings Mushiya Mushiya Felecia Strickland RAW#1667 Jobe Enterprises P.O.
