[6] !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >From Winston Watson (RAW #1415) Subject: MEDITATIONS RELEASE NEW CD: STAND IN LOVE From: Sonightsww@aol.com Date: Tue, June 15, 2004 4:03 am TO: Reggae Ambassadors Massive June 14, 2004 Reggae's legendary harmony trio, The Meditations, releases their newest CD this month. "Stand in Love" carries forward The Meditations' tradition of world class original roots reggae music. Each song has the unique Meditations qualities of excellence, passion and protest that have marked the group's music since the trio began recording thirty five years ago. "Stand in Love" is the first Meditations release since "Ghetto Knowledge," produced in 1999 by Easy Star Records. The new CD was produced independently by Meditations Music. As the title song suggests, the theme is one of Love and the power of praising Jah to combat the forces of war and oppression. Each of the three singers has a featured song that speaks and sings of love's variations: "Stand in Love" by Ansel Cridland, "Stranger in Love" by Winston Watson and "Rasta Love" by Danny Clarke. Other songs are in the great Meditation traditions of social commentary: "War Night," "Not Responsible," and "Youth Teach Wisdom." For more information about the new Meditations CD, "Stand in Love," or about the planned CD release tour in the late fall of 2004, contact Ansel Cridland at: (917) 415-4336 or (718) 881-3932 (fax). You can also email Ansel at meditationsmusic@yahoo.com or Winston at sonightsww@aol.com. Date: Tue, June 15, 2004 6:34 am From: "Jahworks.org Editor" Dear Reggae Network, Robert Lewis (http://www.weerdesign.com/) designed some new flyers for Jahworks.org in conjunction with "King of Kings Reggae Sunday Nights" at the Shattuck Down Low Lounge in Berkeley, California. We would be incredibly appreciative if you are able to distribute some in your area through your mailings or at local venues. If so, please respond with: 1. your mailing address 2. the number of flyers you can take. The design looks great! I have attached it as a .jpg file. I'll be at the Sierra Nevada World Music Fest this weekend, for those of you that will be there. I'll be moderating the press tent on Saturday from 4-8 pm, so definitely come find me. :) Give thanks to our grassroots distribution network!
