It was great to see so many of you there! Date: Sat, 10 Sep 2005 14:16:56 -0400 From: "Mt. NEBO RECORDS" IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (Washington, D.C.) by H. Rosario / hector@mtneborecords.com / 678-887-1912 Reggae lovers will soon get to experience a full tour of some of the most dynamic and refreshing young artists in Reggae music today! The tour showcases several of the phenoms that appeared on the 2005 compilation, "Talkin' Roots II" by Bambu Station. The co-headliners will be PRESSURE, IJAH MENELIK, RAS BUMPA, BLACK CULTURE and just added is LADY PASSION. Also appearing will be Special Guest DJ, CHILD of Project Groundation (www.projectgroundation.com). PRESSURE recently appeared in the Dancehall and on the Village Stage at the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival where he captivated all in attendance with his powerful voice, energy and singing and chanting range. His debut album "The Pressure Is On" is currently ranked #1 on the Ireggae.com Top Ten and is a sure nomination for album of the Year throughout the industry. IJAH MENELIK appeared on "Talkin' Roots II" with his firebrand anthem, "Baggawire!" He appeared for select shows in June 2005 on the Bambu Station Summer Tour and excited Reggae fans well beyond their expectations. His 2005 release and debut "Utopia" showcases his solid ability to perform and bring home the focus of conscious reggae atop any genre of music. He will be featuring many songs from his upcoming release on Mt. Nebo Records, "I-Testament". RAS BUMPA and BLACK CULTURE also appeared for select dates on the Bambu Station Summer Tour. RAS BUMPA despite his tall frame and towering Bobo-appearance, easily captivated fans with his charisma and life-filled songs. A heartical chanter by any means, RAS BUMPA's "Do Good" on "Talkin' Roots II" is a crowd favorite for many. You will hear them at the shows! BLACK CULTURE's "Haile I Selassie I" with it's whisperic nature, anchors the popular album "Talkin Roots II." He will sing many songs from his upcoming release, "Lion's Den Adversity." In everyway imaginable, his album will be one of the best releases on Mt. Nebo Records to date! "Never Change My Mind," the female anthem of true love and perseverance will bring down the house when LADY PASSION steps forward. Just added to the Tour, she has throngs of fans and will not disappoint, but amaze with her lyrical flow, energy, ease and voice. LADY PASSION alone is good reason to attend at least one show! Also appearing for select dates on the Tour will be CHILD of Project Groundation. CHILD has single-handedly produced well over 15 volumes of mixed-conscious music that constantly has the streets bouncing, the writers writing and the dances jumping. A gifted DJ, his hands speak for him and his selections will rock the shows as he blends with the performers on stage to get the shows moving. Anchoring and delivering the live music for each performer will be BAMBU STATION ROOTS BAND. We have carefully put together this Tour together to bring a joyful experience to all hearts for sure. So know that the pressure will be on music lovers! Never change your mind music lovers! Do good music lovers! Baggawire watch out! Haile I Selassie I lives and reigns, amongst the young, gifted and blessed! Specific dates for Portland, Arizona, Nevada, California, Mexico and the various stops in between will be posted in a week. # [3] *=*=*=*=*=*=*= *=*=*=*=*=*=*= *=*=*=*=*=*=*= >From: Wiling Coyotes (R.A.W. #49) Subject: Wailing Coyotes #49- looking for management and label Date: Sun, 11 Sep 2005 21:52:13 -0700 From: Mr Coyote Wailing Coyotes band. NEW GOSPEL REGGAE RELEASES: New this week at www.GospelReggae.com: Artist: Leon De Juda Album: Todo Corre Genre: Roots Reggae (En Espanol) "Todo Corre" is bona fide roots reggae performed by a tremendously talented group of Puerto Rican musicians that have a huge heart for Jesus Christ. This foundational album was the first of two recordings released by the groundbreaking group Leon De Juda before the band split up in early 2005. Unlike many other Spanish language recordings, the quality of music in this effort easily transcends all linguistic and cultural barriers. If you have never heard of Leon De Judah, then you definitely haven't visited the lush green island of Puerto Rico recently. These guys are extremely popular in both the Christian and secular arenas and this is the album that kicked it all off for them. If you are looking for some real roots reggae with live instruments, heavenly horns and sweet arrangements--look no further. This debut effort is a must-have for any reggae lover. CHRISTAFARI IN BRAZIL (by Mark Mohr): Dear Friends, God has been doing tremendous things in our lives since our last update. We just returned from an amazing tour of Brazil were we found our most devoted fan-base on earth! Despite the handful of airline drama, (including the 48 hours of traveling that it took to get us out there), this was probably one of our best tours yet. When the main festival that we were scheduled for in Rio de Janeiro was cancelled at the last minute, we managed to pull together a free Christafari concert for the people in less than two hours. This was quite a challenge, especially since none of us speak Portuguese. However, the concert turned out great and many were saved that night! >From Rio we flew to Sao Paulo, one of the most populated cities in the world. There is a massive revival going on in this Brazilian city right now and it was awesome to be a part of it. In Sao Paulo we were scheduled to perform at Bola De Neve, a reggae church full of surfers and skaters! Our band attended their Sunday night service and without any notice, they asked me to give a 45-minute sermon before 3,000 people! The evening turned out well (thankfully I had plenty of experience giving messages from The Gathering in Trinidad). The next night we played a powerful two-hour set before a packed house. This was our most enthusiastic audience to date. Many accepted Jesus as their Lord that night. We are already planning to return to Brazil this fall. Blessings in Christ, Mark Mohr Christafari 4>. REGGAETON BAPTISM: Since returning from Brazil, Producer/lead vocalist Mark Mohr and other members of the group Christafari have been holding some late hours in the Zionic Sounds Dub Lab laying down some banging tracks for Lion of Zion's upcoming release "Reggaeton Baptism", (due in stores this November).
