So, if you receive a renewal notice for August, please IGNORE the written due date of August 31st. It has been extended to Sept 30th. Second, I've had an updated NEW MEMBERS & CHANGES ready to send out via Email since earlier this month, but just as I was ready to send it, I discovered that my R.A.W. email lists were somehow corrupted, not everyone with an email address was included and others appeared twice. Haven't figured out how that happened, but I'm in the process of rebuilding those lists. It's a slow process, but I should be done soon. NEBO RECORDS (WASHINGTON, D.C.) Friday, August 4, 2006, marked the beginning of the highly anticipated, multi-country "Break The Soul and Many Lives European Tour." Europe is buzzing, blessed and beautiful as Bambu Station and Ras Iba perform at various venues. France was the lucky first country to experience these sensational Virgin Islands musicians when the tour kicked off at the strictly roots Ja Sound Reggae Festival in Bagnols sur Ceze. Attendees at the Antillieaanse Feesten Festival, Dias Latinos Festival, Chiemsee Reggae Festival, and Reggae Summer Night will be awed, inspired, and delighted by these outstanding musical artists as they perform across Belgium, Holland, Amsterdam, and Germany. This extra special tour comes on the heels of the July 28th release of Bambu Station's "Break The Soil" album, and the August 1st European release of Ras Iba's "Many Lives album;" both of which continue to receive rave reviews and are in demand by major radio stations, play lists and fans. Festival and concert goers will hear hot new releases, solid hits from previous albums and experience the trademark tantalizing performances that both Bambu Station and Iba are known to deliver. Bambu Station first graced us with their sound and magnetism during the late 1990s, and has seen a large, loyal and international following develop as they consistently release conscious, spiritual, and thought-provoking lyrics, backed by dynamic musicianship."Break The Soil" is the fifth album from this Virgin Island gem, and is jam-packed with smooth lyrics, beats and positive vibrations. Songs such as "Brotherhood," "Who?," "Chance To Grow," featuring Reemah, "Injoy," "Sense Enemy," and "Bird's I View" are guaranteed to have the crowd rocking! This enigmatic band is comprised of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Tuff Lion (guitarist); multi-instrumentalist, percussionist and vocalist Andy Llanos (drums); Warren Pederson II (bass); Catt Roy (keyboards); and the haunting and sensational voice of multi-instrumentalist Jalani Horton (lead singer); Europe will never be the same after this tour. Ras Iba hails from St. Croix, and is one of the most dynamic, unique and powerful singers on Mt. Nebo Records. His track "Chant" blazed the trail on the 2002 "Talkin' Roots - Volume I" album, and was followed by the release of his 2003 album, "Jah Lion (Children of the Nile)." In the early 1990s, he was the front-man for St. Croix's popular Frontline Band. As the consummate musician, Iba is best known for unique vocal style and highly conscious lyrics. New tracks such as "Save The World," "Afrika," featuring Ijah Menelik, "World Crisis," and "Work To Do" from "Jah Lion" testify to his ability to put out pure roots reggae. Ras Iba's new album, "Many Lives," will see it's full world-wide release on Friday, August 18th right here on Mt. Nebo Records! Over the years, both Bambu Station and Ras Iba have received many accolades and high ratings for their musical contributions, and this summer, Europe will bask in the aura of positive vibrations as they embrace the "Break The Soil and Many Lives European Tour." Future tour dates and performances are as follows: Sat., August 12th - Hoogstraten, Belgium @ Antilliaanse Feesten Festival Wed., August 16th - Den Haag, NL @ Het Paard Thu., August 17th - Rotterdam, Holland @ One Love Rastafari Center Fri., August 18th - Dordrecht, Holland @ Popcentral Sat., August 19th - Amersfoort, Holland @ Dias Latinos Festival Wed., August 23rd - Bocholt, Germany @ Der Alte Molkerei Thu., August 24th - Arnhem, NL @ Kuulturhuis Bosch Fri., August 25th - Chiemsee Reggae Festival, Germany Sat., August 26th - Hamm Germany @ Reggae Summer Night Sun., August 27th - Einhoven, Holland @ Dynamo Jah Jah People Bambu Station and Ras Iba are available for interviews and future bookings.
