LYNX PRESENTS "ZION I SAMPLER" 2>. New CD: H.M.S.S. PRESENTS "Double Trouble" 3>. PLEASE HELP CHRISTAFARI 4>. BACK TO SCHOOL SALE: $12.95 OR LESS ON MOST NEW TITLES 1>. New CD: MR. LYNX PRESENTS ZION I SAMPLER [244.jpg] ARTIST: Mr. Lynx and Friends ALBUM: Mr. Lynx Presents The Zion I Records Sampler PRICE: $15.99 ONLY $12.95 GENRE: Roots / Culture LABEL: Zion I Records ALBUM DESCRIPTION: Over the last few years, under the tutelage of his cousin Monty G and producer DJ Frost, Mr. Lynx has become one of the top selling artists in the gospel reggae arena. After much prayer and consideration, this hit-maker has decided to venture out on his own and start Zion I Records. His desire with this new label is to release strictly gospel roots reggae using live instrumentation and uncompromising lyrics. This fresh sampler is the fruit of his labor over the past year and introduces us to his new stable of artists, including Singaton, Timeless and Shadi. It also provides SEVEN brand new Lynx songs to satisfy our itching Ears! [1154227476.jpg] In true roots fashion, track 1, "Zion Road," kicks off with Mr. Lynx's trademark sing-jay style and conscious lyrical content. Complemented by a tight live band, "Zion Road," aptly sets the tone for th is important new release. In fact, the entire compilation features authentic, thick roots reggae textures complete with heavy bass, raw tenor saxophone, bubbling keyboards, and pulsing one-drop rhythms. The live roots feel is clearly this album's most prominent attribute, and Mr. Lynx fully controls these riddims on songs like "Judgment Come," "Not Forgotten," and "Set Me Free." These three songs paint an exciting picture of Lynx's new musical direction! [1155231618.jpg] Mr. Lynx's performances, however, are not this compilation's only high points! Each new artist presented on this release flexes their own unique style over both original and well-known roots riddims. Both Singaton and Shadi bring forth excellent contemporary roots performances on tracks such as "Rocky Road," "Freedom," and "Never Let You Go. Additionally, with "Why Should I Leave You Now," and "Unto The King," Timeless impressively pioneers her own rough roots vocal style. [1154395643.jpg] Zion I Records' brand new compilation clearly sets itself apart from the pack with a wicked combination of riddims and artists. If you're looking for a fresh compilation with hot new roots songs, then look no further! Add this CD to your shelf today! SHOP NOW --> http://www.gospelreggae.com 2>. New CD: H.M.S.S. PRESENTS "Double Trouble": [243.jpg] ARTIST: Various Artists ALBUM: Double Trouble PRICE: $15.99 ONLY $12.95 GENRE: Dancehall LABEL: Funda & Lightning Recordings ALBUM DESCRIPTION: Straight 'outa the United Kingdom, Funda & Lightning Recordings delivers a hot new dancehall compilation with "Double Trouble!" Featuring a wide range of artists from around the world, "Double Trouble" delivers 20 hot new songs over two explosive dancehall riddims! "Golden Axe," the compilation's first riddim, showcases excellent contributions from veteran and unknown artists alike. Trinidad's Tiko sets the bar high with, thick energetic flows on "Big Mouth," while several Jamaican dancehall artists also ride the riddim with style. Out of the APS camp, Revelation contributes rapid-fire lyrics on "Amen," and Shadroc keeps things smooth with a powerful DJ style on "Outta Yuh Way." Other stand out songs on this riddim include "Lively Up Yourself," by Jamaica's St. Matthew and "Him a di King," by D.A. Jay. Track number 10 kicks off the "High Priest" riddim with an excellent tune by the U.K.'s Solid R.O.C.K. This is definitely one of the most hype tunes on the whole album! Mysta Oracle & Ronnell Benjamin keep the energy going with "Psalm 150," aptly balancing DJ deliveries and catchy melodies for an inspiring, well-crafted song. On track 19, Spanna busts deep lyrics in a top quality DJ style for one of the compilation's biggest boomshots! With two h ot riddims and a slew of great artists, "Double Trouble," is an excellent offering from Funda & Lightning Recordings. PLEASE HELP CHRISTAFARI: (A Personal Message from Mark Mohr) [1050510726.jpg] Dear friends, it's hard to believe that it was over four years ago when we headed into the studio to record Christafari's "Gravity" album. A lot has changed over the last few years but Christafari is still standing strong. A few months ago I was planning on devoting my summer to the recording and promotion of the second installment of our Reggae Redemption Songs series. However, our fans, buyers and distributors have spoken firmly on their request for a new Christafari album. So we've decided to postpone the release of Reggae Redemption Songs II and begin working immediately on Christafari's next studio offering. In just twelve days we had finished the demo process. Then we headed off to the Bahamas where Avion and I collected a few Marlin Awards including ALBUM OF THE YEAR! We returned to Los Angeles with a fresh perspective and completed our song selection for the new album. Just a few days later we began the lengthy recording process. We are currently in our third week of recording and hope to continue track ing for the next month or two. I cannot wait for you guys to hear these new songs and sing along with us in concert! The album will be called "...To THE FOUNDATION". We want our listeners to build their lives on Jesus Christ, the Head Cornerstone. We desire for them to be firmly planted in the Word of God and equipped with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The title is also a reference to the distinct sound of the album. True to its name, this album is far more rootsy than our previous offerings. We are using all live instrumentation, a whole lot of horns and a few special guest appearances. Overall, we are striving to record a timely album with a timeless sound. While certain tracks may remind you of our past offerings, on "To The Foundation", we are boldly marching forward, pioneering a rustic roots sound that will help shape the future of gospel reggae. I am personally writing this not only to inform you, but to ask you to p ray for this recording. Please pray for our physical health, our marriages and relationships. Pray that God will bless every note, lyric and vocal recorded. Pray for our distributors, record label and webstore. Pray that this album will get out to as many as possible. Pray for the future listeners of this recording and ask the Holy Spirit to use this album to touch lives and bring souls to Christ. As I am writing this I cannot help but think of a call I received yesterday by a former Rastafarian. He said that he became a Christian through our music and the salvation plan which is laid out on our website. I am extremely encouraged after calls like this. Those kind of calls motivate me to finish this album and hit the road so that we can reach more lost souls. But we cannot do this without your prayers and support. Please pray for our finances. Ask that God will continue to provide for us as we do His work. Given our present financial situation, instead of digging ourselves into greater debt to cover the costs of recording, mastering, manufacturing and promoting this new album, we once again humbly ask you to lend a helping hand. If you have ever been blessed by the ministry of Christafari, and enriched by our recordings, please consider blessing us with a monetary love-gift of any size. Your generous donation will be greatly appreciated and enable the ministry of Christafari to press on. Our need is real and immediate. Simply make your check out to "Christafari" and please make sure your name and address are written clearly on your check. Then mail it to: Christafari 1942 259th Place Lomita, CA 90717 USA For your donation, you will get the assurance that you are blessing a ministry that is making a difference in this dark world. You will also get a huge thanks from Christafari and we will make sure that you receive a special advanced copy of this album long before anyone else has heard it! Thanks for your generosity. May you be showered with all the spiritual blessings from above! Swimming in His Grace, Mark Mohr Christafari [1155555405.jpg] www.christafari.com 4>.
