AND I want to post the following event on RAW Right Away!!! POSTING NEW ANNUAL REGGAE & WORLD MUSIC FEST IN THE MOTHER LODE I need Vendors for a New Annual Event in the Mother Lode (Central California Foothills). Many bredrin & sistren in Central California are lovers of Reggae and World Music and with the departure of SNWMF many are left with a challenge of making a long journey to share in the beauty of One Love Reggae and World Music Festivals. Therefore, Hiatus Productions Sonora (HPS), in association with Tuolumne Parks & Recreation District and Tuolumne Public Works, is proud to announce that they will be taking on the challenge of keeping Reggae & World Music alive and well in the Mother Lode. We at HPS with our associates, hope to fill, at least one of SNWMF's shoes in the Mother Lode with this New Annual Event. The 1st Annual Tuolumne One Love - One World - Music Fest June 1st - 3rd - 2007 This new annual event will present live music, featuring reggae and world music artists from around the globe. This will be a true celebration of love, life, music and culture from around the world, so in addition to live musical entertainment we will be opening and closing each day’s activities with a blessing prayer for our relations around the world and a drum session with drums and drummers from all over the earth. Over 40 vendors (spaces still available – contact Tommy Little-Hawk) will be supplying food, drinks, arts, crafts, music and other fine wares for you to view, sample and purchase. Fun for the whole family can be had at the First Ever celebration of this kind in West Side Park. Our venue, West Side Park, is conveniently located in downtown Tuolumne California, just seven miles east of Sonora and only a stones throw from where SNWMF used to be held. Here in Tuolumne you will find a beautiful and historic community park that has a nice playground for the children and plenty of shade and grass for enjoying the festivities of each day. Parking & Camping are close by with free shuttle buses delivering concert goers to and from the daily festivities with ease (additional costs apply for camping and event tickets). The Township of Tuolumne is in desperate need of improvement and that's the reason for this event. To help raise the much needed dollars for sidewalks, street lights and other revitalization projects in this small historic town. The Tuolumne Band of Me Wuk's were the first inhabitants of the area with a long tradition of giving and sharing exhibited by their annual Acorn Festival & Pow Wow, which has been going on for countless years. After that, Gold Miners and Lumber Companies moved in and laid the Township of Tuolumne out like a real city with its focus on the Community Park in the middle of town. The Me Wuk Tribe, with its new casino, is up and running and standing on their own feet, helping to make the improvements and changes this town has needed for the last 50 years since gold mining and the lumber mill have ceased to operate. The Me Wuk’s can't be expected to carry the entire burden of bringing Tuolumne back to life and the county that is in charge of taking care of the township of Tuolumne is broke and can't afford to assist with the financing of the improvements and changes the town so sorely needs. “We the People” of Tuolumne are heretofore taking matters into our own hands by presenting this annual celebration of love, life, music and culture to not only the people of this area, but to the people of the world. Tickets will be priced at an affordable price; probably under $10.00 per day and evening acoustic show tickets will be available for $12.00 per night. Limited tickets will be available, for both daytime and evening shows, so don't wait until the last minute to get yours! Contact Tommy Little-Hawk for information. tuolumnetommy@yahoo.com 209-588-8651 Web-site will be up in a couple of weeks from now. 06-20-2006 Artists - TBD [4] *=*=*=*=*=*=*= *=*=*=*=*=*=*= *=*=*=*=*=*=*= >From: Easy Star Records Subject: LAST CHANCE TO PRE-ORDER DUB SIDE LIVE Dub Side of the Moon Live DVD Price: $14 Dub Side of the Moon Live DVD and Rastanaut Ringer Tee Price: $29 LAST CHANCE TO PRE-ORDER DUB SIDE LIVE Friday at 3 PM EST will be the last chance to pre-order the Dub Side Live DVD and perhaps win a free Vaporbrothers Vaporizer.
