From: phillip pickering Date: Wed, 30 Jan 2008 20:18:04 -0800 (PST) Dias Latinos Festival 2007 in Amersfort Holland Photo courtesy of fan in Europe INNER VISIONS L-R: Jupiter, Mr. Snooze, Grasshopper, Osisi, Hollywood Great News Fans!! Inner Visions have been invited back to Europe this coming Summer. So in the spirit of love we felt we need not leave our American fan base starving for their usual Inner Visions fix again as we did last year. Some of you on the East Coast saw us briefly as we made our way North and into Maine where we headlined a festival for the third year in a row. From there we made our way over to Europe where we made good on our promise to "InnerGise" our listening audience and make new fans. In Early March we head North and make our way West into Texas (for SXSW Music and film interactive). Then it's the Colorado, Wyoming, Seattle, Oregon, California coast region. We anticipate hitting at least one Indian Reservation on the way back as we head back East. We'll hit the Carolina's in May before returning home. We have missed five July 3rd and 4th Celebrations on St. John and feel blessed to be able to be here this year. For quite some time fans have been saying our CD's are wonderfully produced but in no way captures our live show's energy. They requested over and over again that we do a live recording. Still it was not until we hit the shores of Europe and heard the same from newly found fans that we heeded the call. Well, the good news is It has been done. Recorded in Upstate New York at Woodstock's Bearsville Theater by renowned studio engineer Mr. Chris Anderson, it captures just a tiny bit of the vibes this past September. It's currently in the final stages and hopefully should be hitting the streets before we leave town. I'm starting to see what the fans meant! There is something there but I'll leave it to you to decide! The CD's title will be "Inner Visions Finally Captured....LIVE!" Get ready to be "InnerGised" again in 2008. His bandmates, however, said Campbell had left to pursue solo projects. In a statement on his website, Campbell said that "management difficulties, which have been ongoing for almost five years, had become intolerable." He continues "No words can express how upset I feel today that I have been forced to make this decision," he wrote. UB40, which includes Ali's brother Robin, would continue without him. In somewhat contrary words the band states Campbell "has taken the decision to focus on his solo career and in doing so, could not give his full commitment to UB40." The band's forthcoming album "24/7," which was recorded with Campbell, will be released as planned in May. The second and possibly final phase of the co-naming of Bob Marley Boulevard with Church Avenue in Brooklyn will be held next month. According to the organizers, the West Indian American Progressive Action Council, the event will be held on February 6, the birthday of the late Jamaican-born reggae star Robert Nesta Marley. Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Councilman Mathieu Eugene and the co-authors to the co-naming of Church Avenue as `Bob Marley Boulevard,` is unveiled. Michael Russell, President of WIAPAC and Vice President Leithland Rickie Tulloch, will be hosting the event. The co-naming of Church Avenue as Bob Marley Boulevard was unanimously approved by the full New York City Council on May 10, 2006. On July 1of the same year thousands of community residents witnessed the historic unveiling of Bob Marley Boulevard at the corner of Church and Remsen Avenues.
